Renly apps

One shortcut away, wherever you work.

Everything you do in Renly on the web, plus a quick-ask window over any app, local folders, approved commands and computer use on Windows. Chat and approve from your phone on Android.

Need the installer or an MSI? Sign in, then choose Get the apps from your account menu.

On your phone too? Get the Android app.

There is no Mac or iPhone app yet. Everything in Renly works in your browser. Open Renly

Free with every Renly account. Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. Android 7.0 and later.

Windows app

What the Windows app adds.

The same Renly you sign in to on the web, with presence on your desktop and a governed path to your machine.

Quick ask, from any app

A small window over whatever you are doing. Ask, get the answer, carry on.

Work with local files

Choose a folder and agents read and edit the files in it, asking before they change anything.

Run approved commands

A governed terminal: commands run within the permissions you select, and every one is recorded.

Browse and act

A governed browser window that agents drive with every step visible, so web tasks happen where you can see them.

Computer use

With your consent, an agent operates apps on your screen while you watch. Pause it instantly at any moment.

Code on your machine Beta

Code sessions read, edit and test the repository on your computer, under the permission mode you choose.

Bring your setup

Import your Claude Code and Codex CLI instructions and MCP servers in a couple of clicks.

Same rules as the web

The approvals, connector limits and Evidence Passports you already have apply to every local action too.

You decide

Your computer, your consent.

The Windows app asks before an agent touches anything on your machine, and shows what it is doing while it works. Your organisation sets the outer limits.

  • Per capability: local files, the terminal, the browser and computer use are each switched on separately.
  • Organisation controls: admins decide whether device access is allowed at all, and whether agents may use the screen while nobody is watching.
  • On the record: every local read, command and click lands in the same Evidence Passport as the rest of the response.

Android app

Keep work moving from your phone.

Approve the change an agent is waiting on, ask a quick question, or tick off a reminder, with the same work account and the same rules.

  • Chats and agents pick up exactly where you left them on the web or on Windows.
  • Approvals on the go, so a waiting automation does not wait for your laptop.
  • To-dos, reminders, dictation and photo attachments straight from the camera.

Requirements and rollout

Runs on what you have. Deploys the way IT does.

Windows 10 or 11

64-bit (x64). The WebView2 runtime is installed for you if it is missing.

Android 7.0 or later

From Google Play, signed in with your work account.

A Renly account

Sign in with your work email or Microsoft account. The apps are free on every plan.

Roll it out with Intune

An MSI that installs for every user on the machine, for Microsoft Intune or any device management tool. Or let people install the per-user version themselves, without administrator rights.

Govern it centrally

Organisation settings decide whether devices can be used at all, whether unattended computer use is allowed, and which connectors agents can reach. Every local action is recorded.

Questions, answered.

Is there a Mac or iPhone app?

Not yet. Everything in Renly works in your browser at renly.ai, on a Mac or an iPhone as on any other computer. The Windows and Android apps add quick access and device features.

Do the apps cost extra?

No. The apps are free with any Renly account, including the free plan. What you can do in them follows your plan, exactly as on the web. See pricing.

Windows says it protected my PC. What do I do?

That message can appear for the direct installer, which is not code-signed yet. Choose More info, then Run anyway. Installing from the Microsoft Store avoids the prompt.

How does the Windows app stay up to date?

The direct installer checks for updates and installs them with one click, and every update is verified against Renly's signature before it runs. The Microsoft Store version is updated through the Store.

What can the Windows app reach on my computer?

Only what you allow. Agents work in folders you choose, run commands within the permissions you set, and operate your screen only after you consent. Every local action is recorded, and your organisation's admins can turn device access off entirely.

How do I stop an agent that is using my computer?

Press Ctrl+Shift+Backspace at any time to pause computer use, or use the stop control on screen.

How do we roll the app out to a team?

Use the MSI with Microsoft Intune or your device management tool. People can also install the per-user installer themselves, without administrator rights. Talk to us about a rollout plan.

What does the Android app include?

Your chats and agents, approvals, to-dos and reminders, dictation and photo attachments, signed in with the same work account. More in the mobile guide.
